The US Government officialy defines the Baby Boom Generation as all individuals born between 1946-1964. They really don’t get to specific about either Generation X or Y. What years do you think should incorporate these three vastly different generations and why? Whether it’s the self-centred baby boomers, or the slacking, cynical generation Xer’s, or the over-protected, sheltered, community minded, “I’m entitled” generation Y types, every generation gets hanged with a label. Please think of this when trying to define an answer. It will help in trying to figure what historical events defined their generation, and ultimately which birth years seperate them.
